  • 3 chicken bouillon cubes

  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour

  • 2 tbsp dried parsley

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp dried basil

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp black pepper

Optional Garnish:

  • Extra shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

Cook the Potatoes:

  1. In a 4-quart saucepan over medium-high heat, add the diced potatoes and cover with water.

  2. Bring to a boil and cook until potatoes are tender, about 10-15 minutes. Don't drain—you'll use this starchy water to help thicken the soup.

Build the Soup:

  1. Add milk, chicken bouillon cubes, diced onions, parsley, garlic powder, basil, salt, pepper, hot sauce, and one slice of bacon to the pot.
