Grandma Secret Soaked Milk Cake

  • Beat Whites – In a clean bowl, beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gradually add ½ cup sugar and beat until glossy.

  • Beat Yolks – In another bowl, beat egg yolks with remaining ¼ cup sugar until pale. Add milk and vanilla.

  • Combine – Fold flour mixture into yolks, then gently fold in egg whites in two batches.

  • Bake – Pour into pan. Bake 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.

  • Pierce Cake – Using a fork, poke holes all over the cooled cake to allow milk to soak in.

  • Make Three-Milk Mixture – Combine condensed milk, evaporated milk, heavy cream, and vanilla in a bowl.

  • Soak – Slowly pour three-milk mixture over the entire surface of cake. Refrigerate at least 2 hours (preferably overnight).

  • Top – Whip heavy cream with sugar until stiff peaks form. Spread over cake. Garnish with fruit. Refrigerate until serving.
