  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 preferred – about 450g)
  • ½ cup diced yellow onion
  • Salt and black pepper , to taste
  • 4 slices bacon , cooked until crisp and crumbled
  • 2–3 dill pickle spears , chopped
  • 4–6 slices American cheese (or cheddar, Monterey Jack, or vegan cheese for variation)

 

For the Dough:

  • 1 sheet refrigerated French bread dough (rolled out into a rectangle – about 12×18 inches)
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard (or honey mustard for extra sweetness)

For Egg Wash & Topping:

  • 1 large egg , beaten with 1 tbsp water (for brushing)
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional – for bakery-style finish)

 


Instructions:

Step 1: Preheat Oven & Prep Workspace

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) .

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone mat .

 

Unroll the refrigerated French bread dough onto a lightly floured surface and gently stretch it into a 12×18-inch rectangle .
