FRESHLY BAKED DINNER ROLLS

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups of flour

  • 2 tsp of yeast

  • 1 cup of milk

  • 2 tbsp of sugar

  • 1 tsp of salt

  • 1 large egg

  • 1/2 cup of melted butter

Instructions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, add yeast, 1 tbsp of sugar and lukewarm milk (it should not be hot, it'll kill the yeast). Mix and cover it for about 5-7 minutes to bloom.

  2. In the yeast mixture, add egg, melted butter, flour, salt and the remaining 1 tbsp of sugar then mix well.

  3. Transfer the dough on a slightly floured surface then knead for about 10 minutes or till the dough is smooth.

  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it and put in a warm place until it has doubled in size.

  5. Punch the dough to remove the air. Roll the dough into small balls then place in a greased baking tray. Cover it to let it rise for the second time.

  6. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 15-20 minutes.

  7. Brush the rolls with butter immediately after taking them out of the oven.

  8. Then enjoy your freshly baked dinner rolls!
