Easy Stuffed Cabbage Rolls

Ingredients:

  • 1 large cabbage head

  • 1 pound ground beef or ground turkey

  • 1/2 cup cooked rice

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

  • 2 cups tomato sauce (or crushed tomatoes, divided)

  • 1 egg

  • 2–3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano or Italian seasoning (optional)

  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)

  • Olive oil, for sautéing

Instructions:

  1. Prep the Cabbage:

    • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

    • Carefully remove the core from the cabbage.

    • Place the whole head in boiling water. As leaves soften, peel them off (use tongs), about 2–3 minutes per leaf. Set aside 12–15 large leaves for rolling.
