For the apple filling:
3 apples, peeled and diced
2 tbsp butter
1/3 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp white sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 tbsp water
1 tsp vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
