Chocolate salami

Preparation of the cookies – Crush Maria's cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a plastic bag and crushing them with a rolling pin.

Roasting walnuts – Roast chopped walnuts in a dry pan over medium heat for 3–5 minutes, stirring frequently, until fragrant.

Melt the chocolate – mix chocolate pieces, cream and   butter  in a saucepan over low heat until a smooth mixture is formed.

Mix – Remove from heat, then stir in the crumbled cookies and the toasted walnuts. Mix well.

Shaping the   salami  – Place the mixture onto cling film, shape it into a roll and roll it up tightly. Twist the ends to seal.

Refrigerate – store in the refrigerator for 2–3 hours or until the mixture is firm.

Finishing & Serving – Unwrap, roll in powdered sugar, slice and enjoy.
