Preparing the dough
In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
In a separate bowl, beat the eggs with the milk and melted butter .
Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients, mixing until smooth.
Preparing the Apples
Wash and peel the apples, remove the cores, and dice them.
Dry them with lemon juice to prevent them from browning, and sprinkle with cinnamon
.
Assembling the Cake
Pour half the batter into a greased baking pan (preferably one with a chimney).
Add a layer of apples, then pour in the remaining batter.
Place the remaining apples on top and sprinkle with almond flakes .
Baking
Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for approximately 40-45 minutes, until the cake is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Serving
Remove the cake from the pan and let it cool. Serve warm or cold, preferably with a cup of tea .
